I’m not going to start this story from the very beginning, just the beginning of where I’m at today which actually starts six or seven years ago.
Makes sense right? No?
Bear with me…
I was living and working in Las Vegas, not as a show girl but as a PA and Events Manager.
I worked hard and played hard and loved it.
I remember tripping on my left foot from time to time. I didn’t think much of it. Working too much, playing too much, drinking too much? Combination of it all?
At the time someone suggested that it might be a sign that I was ‘holding myself back from moving forward’ it was also suggested I see their chiro, perhaps it was just out of alignment.
I’m not a fan of the whole back cracking thing, but what the hell… When in Vegas right?
I did a couple of sessions with no change.
I am just a clutz.
Bring on 2010 and on a trip to NYC and I distinctly remember walking home from the train and stomping on my left foot telling it to work and walk properly!
I move back to Brisbane, Australia and still tripping from time to time. A few bells rang that it might be something more but whatever…. I don’t mention it to anyone but quickly give up on a group fitness class as I couldn’t properly run through the rope ladder and a Zumba class was a disaster.
Hello 2011 and after a 10 day trip overseas I arrive home and within a couple of days I had pins and needles in both feet for 4-5 days. Annoying. So I went to my doctor.
Pins and needles are a classic sign of a B12 deficiency. Who knew?
I also mentioned that I would occasionally trip, but not fall and my left hand felt funny.
“Let’s send you for an MRI and some blood work.” She said
“Sure” I said. “I don’t care what it is! just as long as it’s not MS” I said.
